Bio

Go Big Red!

I am a PROUD graduate of the University of Nebraska, (GO BIG RED!) where I earned my BS in Nutritional Biochemistry in 2008. In college, I was involved with the Honors Program, Greek Life, the College of Education and Human Sciences, and my own thesis research. I had a wonderful experience at Nebraska and am fortunate to be a lifelong learner. I finished my M.Ed. in May 2010 from Rockhurst University in Kansas City. If I am not working on a degree, I love to learn about my interests, more science, engineering, and social issues.

I am the oldest of four sisters and love all of them (even though they all have defected to Mizzou...) We are all very close and you may see them drop by class from time to time! In my free time I love to read books, play the violin, travel, visit with friends, and cycle!

I am so very fortunate to LOVE my job and I look forward to each day that I get to spend in the classroom with my students. Teaching is so wonderful, that even Monday's aren't that bad! I look forward to meeting my students this semester and seeing all of the wonderful things that we will learn together!
